Eucalyptus Globulus is one of the most appreciated wood species for paper pulp production due to its properties of long and flexible fibre. Its high content of cellulose and low content of lignin makes it especially indicated for high-quality paper (printing-paper, money-paper) where whiteness, strength, gramage and flexibility are required.
Eucalyptus Globulus is by far the specie with the highest yield in paper pulp production, well above coniferous or other Eucalyptus subspecies.
The demand from some of the world main paper companies has made the Eucalyptus plantations in our area grow to reach nowadays approx. 55% of the total forest area becoming world leaders in the supply of Eucalyptus Globulus.
stgwood supplies break-bulk shipments on a regular basis to some of the main paper mills in the world. Also, the option of Eucalyptus chips can be studied for some markets.
